Assessing Ventilation Hygiene
The client required an independent assessment of the hygiene condition of the ventilation system to understand contamination levels and identify whether remedial cleaning was required. The project included 30 individual test locations throughout the system using both Deposit Thickness Testing (DDT) and microbiological swab sampling.
During the survey, several areas of the ductwork were inaccessible, preventing representative testing from being carried out. Access improvements were therefore required before the hygiene assessment could be completed.

Comprehensive Hygiene Assessment
Our engineers installed the necessary access points to safely reach all required testing locations before carrying out the hygiene assessment. Each test location was sampled using Deposit Thickness Testing (DDT) together with microbiological swab sampling, with all samples submitted to an accredited laboratory for analysis.
Working to a tight programme, the entire process—from the initial enquiry through testing, laboratory analysis and final reporting—was completed within two weeks, providing the client with a rapid understanding of the system’s condition.

All 30 test locations were successfully completed, providing the client with a comprehensive overview of the hygiene condition throughout the ventilation system.
