The challenge
The challenge.
Maintaining a High-Demand Extraction System
Operating in one of London’s busiest restaurant locations, the client required specialist maintenance to the main kitchen extract system while minimising disruption to daily operations. While the kitchen canopy and grease filters were cleaned every evening by the in-house team, the remainder of the extraction system required periodic specialist cleaning to maintain hygiene, fire safety and compliance.
The project included over 40 metres of horizontal ductwork, 40 metres of vertical riser ductwork, six ESP cells, UV systems, filtration units and extract fans. During the initial inspection, areas of ductwork were also identified that required sealing to restore the integrity of the system.

Specialist Cleaning With Targeted Remedial Works
Our engineers completed a full TR19® kitchen extract clean using specialist ventilation hygiene equipment and approved cleaning methods. Grease deposits were removed from the internal ductwork, filtration units, UV systems, ESP cells and extract fans, with every accessible section of the system cleaned and documented.
Alongside the cleaning works, minor ductwork sealing was completed where required to improve system integrity and prevent grease leakage. Detailed photographic evidence was captured throughout the project, with a comprehensive report and compliance documentation issued on completion.

Successfully Delivered With Minimal Disruption
The project was completed successfully, restoring the internal cleanliness of the extraction system while completing the required sealing works identified during the inspection. More than 80 metres of ductwork, together with all associated extract components, were cleaned to a high standard, supporting improved ventilation hygiene, reduced fire risk and ongoing TR19® compliance.
The client received a comprehensive photographic record, detailed service report and compliance documentation, providing a complete record of the works undertaken and a clear benchmark for future planned maintenance.
